WHO IS SAM?
WHO WE ARE
SAM: Securing Access to Mental Healthcare is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization committed to equitable access to mental healthcare. The mission of SAM is to close the gaps to mental healthcare access, ensuring equitable care and healing for all members of the community.

WHAT WE DO
At SAM, we do a lot! Some of our projects include specialized funding for vulnerable groups to receive mental healthcare, providing resources and individual mental health care, community outreach and education, specialized research to support vulnerable communities and always at the forefront of our organization and behind everything we do is advocacy for vulnerable populations.
WHY WE NEED IT
We need SAM because community-based nonprofits like SAM are able to reach, advocate for and serve people in ways that larger systems and government programs cannot. SAM can cover gaps in society and the health care system to get people and communities the help that they need when they need it most.

DEDICATED TO THE COMMUNITY
We provide individual and group therapy as well as resources and referrals for individuals and communities. We also have a gerontology department with clinicians that specialize in aging and palliative care. Aside from direct client care, SAM is fully dedicated to the community through important means like targeted research, advocacy and community education. If you or someone you know needs support, please contact us and one of our clinicians will get back to you. SAM is not for immediate crisis care. Please see our resources page for crisis and warm line numbers.
